What I Ate: 1/5/2010

Happy Tuesday!

  • 1 Believe Italian Cappucino. I had about 1/3 of this as creamer in two very large cups of decaf Starbucks VIA. The other 2/3 I mixed with a scoop of vanilla protein as explained below . . . (120 kcals, 20g protein, 5g net carbs, 0g fat)
  • 4 slices Hormel Natural Choice roast beef (60 kcals, 11g protein, 0g carbs, 2g fat) with 1/4 cup leftover gumbo z'herbes (about 35 kcals, 2g protein, 1g net carbs, 1g fat)
  • 1 scoop Elite Gourmet Vanilla protein (114 kcals, 24g protein, 2g net carbs, 1.5g fat) that was mixed with the rest of my Italian Capp Believe. Surprisingly, this tasted disgusting, so I added 1 tsp. unsweetened Hershey's cocoa (4 kcals, 0.5g net carb) and some SF chocolate syrup to liven it up a little. I think maybe Elite vanilla smells better than it tastes, but I'm not 100% sure because I've never had it mixed simply with water.
  • About 2 oz. shrimp (76 kcals, 14.8g protein, 0.6g carbs, 1.2g fat), 1 strip of Applegate Farms uncured organic turkey bacon (35 kcals, 6g protein, 0g carbs, 1.5g fat), and 1/4 cup brussel sprouts (20 kcals, 1.4g protein, 2g net carbs, 0.2g fat) with paprika and garlic. Total - (131 kcals, 22.2g protein, 2.6g net carbs, 2.9g fat)
  • 1 chestnut (21 kcals, 0.3g protein, 4g net carbs, 0.2g fat)
  • 1 scoop Inspire peanut butter cookie protein (132 kcals, 25g protein, 1g carbs, 1g fat) in 1/3 cup nonfat Fage (40 kcals, 6.6g protein, 3g net carbs, 0g fat) with 1.5 tbsp. cheesecake pudding mix (23 kcals, 6g net carbs), and 3 tbsp. Free Cool Whip (23 kcals, 4.5g net carb). Total - (218 kcals, 31.6g protein, 13g net carbs, 1g fat)
  • 1 Calcet calcium citrate lemon creamy bite (40 kcals, 6g net carbs, 1.5g fat)
  • 3 Bariatric Advantage calcium lozenges (12 kcals, 3g net carbs)
  • 2 Celebrate multivitamins in grape and 1 in orange (20 kcals, 5g net carbs)
  • 1 Celebrate grape iron + c (5 kcals, 1g net carbs, 0g fat)
  • 5 packets sugar-free drink mix (50 kcals, 12g net carbs)

830 kcals
111.1g protein

For today's workout, I did the Leslie Sansone "30 Minute Walk" DVD after work. I hadn't worked out since New Year's morning, so it was good to get back to it. I'm doing a special challenge called 10 in '10 with a group of politicos I know, and one of the tasks is to work out 180 days this year. That's almost half the year (!) Hopefully I'll prevail!
